Long haul tourist class seating now incorporates many features traditionally associated with business class travel. For increased passenger comfort the premium tourist class 6810 seat from Weber Aircraft increases passenger comfort by maximizing the seat reclining angle while reducing the amount of intrusion into passenger living space behind the seat.
TXS Industrial Design assisted in the design of this entirely new airline seat. TXS designers ideated seat concepts to improve functionality, upholstery and aesthetics. Upholstery design incorporated sports car inspired details like two-tone perforated leather and French stitching. Special attention to laptop storage, center console deployed tables and handicap access make this a unique premium coach class product for airlines. TXS conceptual work directly via Pro-E CAD database integrates with our Webers's engineering group, resulting in a fast track prototype cycle for debut at Hamburg 2009 Airline Interiors Trade Show.
