Brian Coley
Brian Coley has been involved in mechanical design since graduating with a BSME from The University of Texas at Austin in 1997. After a brief stint performing finite element analysis for Alcoa Forged Products in Cleveland, he decided to move back to Texas to work for Alcatel, an international telecommunications equipment provider. He took the valuable knowledge gained there and left to make his fortune at a start-up telecom company, White Rock Networks, during the height of the dot com boom. Well, the windfall never came, so now instead of passing his time navigating the world on his yacht, he lives in Dallas and provides innovative solutions to design challenges at TXS Design. In his free time he likes to go off-road cycling.
John Omdahl
John Omdahl earned a BFA in Industrial Design from Brigham Young University (BYU) in 1998, and joined TXS Industrial Design as an associate designer that same year. In 2005 he was promoted to senior industrial designer. During his tenure at TXS, John has provided design solutions on varied projects from
medical devices and
aircraft seating products to
corporate identities.
A Texas native and world traveler, John has lived in many places including Germany, Australia, California and Utah.
Chris Partee
Chris Partee received his education from UT-Austin, earning a BSME in 2005. After graduation he spent his first two years out of school working as a design engineer for a semiconductor tool company. Since then, Chris has relocated back to the Dallas area joining up with TXS.
At home, Chris enjoys spending time with his family. Whenever he is not playing the role of dad or husband, Chris enjoys spending his free time outdoors. Some of his hobbies include skateboard, mountain biking, or just plain relaxing.
Magnus Sköld
Per Magnus Sköld (half Swedish, half Mexican-American) was born outside of Stockholm, Sweden and at the age of nine moved to England. With growing interest in all things mechanical and automotive, a long healthy upbringing watching Manga, Transformers, and other science-fiction, he graduated from Coventry University in 2004 with a Mdes in Transportation Design. While at Coventry University, he entered several design competitions and won second place in the Canadian International Auto Show Design Competition.
After graduating, Magnus moved to America and settled in the Lone-Star State to be closer to his family. Starting in Austin, initially as an intern and promoted to full time staff, Magnus worked for Lindsey Design (Formerly Studio RD), an aircraft interior design company, designing aircraft interiors for distinguished clientele. In 2006, Magnus moved to Dallas, to work for TXS Industrial Design.
Outside of work, Magnus enjoys photography, sketching, design history, nature, motor sport, cars, traveling, exercise, and since moving to the United States, American sports, including the NFL.
Scott Relyea
Scott graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design. Following graduation he returned to his home town of Albany, NY where he worked for the largest electrical contractor in the state at the time, as an Assistant Project manager and later Project Manager Coordinator.
After six years, looking for a change, Scott followed his sister and brother-in-law and moved to Texas. With a background in AutoCAD and an interest in construction and architecture, Scott found employment as an Interior Design Associate with HKS Architects. This position was short lived as he found he wanted to get back to Industrial Design. This desire led him to TXS where he is entering his tenth year.
